Holy Cross College was conferred autonomous status in the academic year 2007-2008. Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) was implemented then onwards for all the programmes. At the Undergraduate level the curriculum is for three years. At the Post graduate level, the curriculum is for two years and at the pre-doctoral level (M.Phil.) the curriculum is for one year.

Each year is divided into two semesters. The duration of each semester is 90 contact days/15 weeks with six working days per week.

Holy Cross college is conducting Aided and Self financing programmes for which Principal is the Academic head. The programmes are conducted between 9.00 a.m. and 3.15p.m
