About IPR Cell

IPR Cell of Holy Cross College, is a platform for encouraging filing of IPR and patenting the products or technologies for the benefit of the Institute and the society. The Institute’s IPR cell has been constituted to maintain high standards of academics and to create a suitable environment for creation and protection of intellectual property.

Intellectual property is the product of the human intellect including creativity concepts, inventions, industrial models, trademarks, artistic works, literature, symbols, names, brands, etc. Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) include Patent, Copyright, Trademark, Industrial Design, Integrated Circuit Layout, Geographical Indicators and Trade Secrets.

Objectives

To create an awareness on IPR among faculty and students

To conduct workshops, seminars and training programme on IPR.

To motivate innovators come with new ideas and help them to protect the innovation.

To encourage faculty members and scholars to go for patentable works.

To disseminate knowledge on patents, patent regime in India and abroad and registration aspects.

To impart training on future endeavours regarding patent filing processes

To create an opportunity for product development and commercialization.
