To motivate, initiate and promote quality and innovative research among the research community and create a culture of high achievement.
The Crossian Research Forum was launched in 2005 to serve as a focal point for research. It provides investigators the researchers with the information and resources necessary for pursuing research. It motivates the faculty to undertake major and minor projects. It also encourages the faculty, research scholars and students to attend seminars/ conferences/ workshops/ symposiums; and present papers at national and international conferences.
To inculcate the spirit of research and to bring together the scholars and faculty of arts and science to share and discuss their findings on a common platform, the Research Forum organizes Seminars/ Workshops/ Conferences on multidisciplinary subjects every year. The research papers presented in the conferences are published in the proceedings with ISBN. Crossian Research Forum has link with Kanyakumari Academy of Arts and Science.
Crossian Resonance, a Multi-disciplinary Biannual journal was launched in 2010 with an ISSN number 09768-5417 to uphold the publishing standard and provide opportunity and space for the research scholars and faculty of this institution and other.
In the last few years we have had many exciting changes transpiring in the College. The Crossian Research Forum began a joint functioning with the Research Advisory Committee, Research Ethics Committee and Students Research Forum. It aims at widening the scope of research opportunities.
The Research Advisory Committee and the Research Ethics Committee were established in the academic year 2020-2021 to provide guidance for project proposals and to follow the research ethics. Students Research Forum was initiated in the year 2018 to foster the research aptitude in students to respond to the current social demands. The research activities in the Institution define the intellectual climate of our institution.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed for the development of Crossian Research Forum. We unitedly work for the growth and diversify our programmes towards the betterment of our students and faculty.

Research is defined as careful consideration of study regarding a particular concern or problem using scientific methods. Research begins by asking the right questions and choosing an appropriate method to investigate the problem. After collecting answers to the framed questions, one can analyze the findings or observations to draw reasonable conclusions. To have a healthy environment for doing research in our campus Research Advisory Committee and Research Ethics Committee are functioning which guides our Crossian Research Forum, faculty member, research scholars and students in a right path to attain greater heights in research.

The Crossian Centre for Research and Development envisions to motivate, initiate and promote quality and innovative research among the research community. We work with the noble objectives of accomplishing research excellence in various disciplines, disseminating information and publish scholarly research and instilling knowledge on IPR & patent.
We have implemented policies for Research activities and have framed the Code of Ethics to be followed in our institution. In order to promote Research & Development we have excellent infrastructure facilities: research centres, laboratories, libraries (general and department) seminar halls, and Central Instrumentation Room. We have 9 Research Centers, lead by Recognized Research Guides who guide Ph.D. scholars (Full Time & Part Time) and also undertake Research Projects. Our Research Ecosystem consists of a Chairperson, Dean of Research, Research coordinator, Research Advisory Committee, Research Ethics Committee and Crossian Research Forum. We have currently 9 Research Centers with 47 Research guides and 131 Research Scholars. To enhance research inside the campus we have an excellent Library, Research laboratories with state-of-art facilities and an Instrumentation Centre with modern scientific equipments.
To promote research culture and maintain a proper research ecosystem we provide Travel grants, Incentives and Seed money and also offer Cash Awards to faculty for quality publications and paper presentations abroad. Partial financial Assistance is provided for organizing Seminars and Symposiums and Workshops. Our faculty and students are constantly motivated to apply for scholarships, fellowships and research funds.
To bring about Research as Campus culture, Interdisciplinary & Multidisciplinary, Research projects are incorporated in the UG & PG Curriculum. Mandatory Summer training programmes/Internships to all PG students inculcate the spirit of research. To encourage and accomplish entrepreneurship, employability and skill development among the student community and for empowering young women, we have the Holy Cross Innovation and Incubation Centre which is a registered Society. This society functions as an incubation centre that pro-actively supports the ideas for social development and calibrates growth & brings about change. We also have an Institution Innovation Council (IIC) with supporting bodies like Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Internship Cell, Intellectual Property Rights Cell and Resource Mobilization Committee.
To enable conducive environment for faculty and research scholars to pursue their research career successfully, capacity building programmes, FDP, Seminars, Conferences and Workshops are conducted regularly. A biannual multidisciplinary journal entitled “Crossian
Resonance” is being published by the college since 2010. The faculty who publish their research work in Scopus Indexed journals, Books or Chapters in Books, Patent, present research articles in conferences etc. are conferred with the Best Researcher award. We also have a Research Database https://holycrossngl.edu.in/Research/ResearchActivites, which is maintained as a repository for storing research data. To sum up, Crossian Centre for Research and Development (CCRD) maintain a proper research ecosystem within the campus and promote quality and innovative research in a holistic manner.
