QUIZ CLUB







INTRODUCTION

The Quiz Club of our college was established in the year 1985 to encourage and motivate young brains to have a quest for knowledge. The seed for organizing CROSSINGS the first ever inter-collegiate quiz competition of our college was sown in 1985 which being the International Year of Youth. Initially the club was conducting CROSSINGS with our own college teachers and later, from 1993 onwards, it was conducted for college students in collaboration with SIOL QUIZ CLUB, Pondicherry. From the year 2015-16 onwards the club started conducting inter-school Quiz too. An ever-rolling trophy is awarded to the winners along with the cash prizes to motivate the students. In order to nurture the general knowledge skills among our own students, the best competitor award is given every year for the students who wins in the maximum number of quiz competitions conducted in other colleges.

ANTI - RAGGING COMMITTEE


INTRODUCTION

The Anti-Ragging Committee is established to create a safe and supportive environment for all students within the educational institution. Ragging, which refers to any form of harassment or bullying, undermines the core values of education and personal development. This committee is dedicated to preventing ragging, addressing any incidents that arise, and promoting a culture of respect and inclusion.


AIM

The primary aim of the Anti-Ragging Committee is to eradicate ragging in all forms and ensure a conducive learning environment for all students, fostering mutual respect and understanding among peers.


VISION

To cultivate an educational atmosphere that is free from ragging, where every student feels safe, respected, and empowered to thrive academically and socially.


MISSION

Our mission is to actively promote awareness about the detrimental effects of ragging, implement strict measures against offenders, and provide support systems for victims. We strive to educate the student community about the importance of compassion, camaraderie, and a healthy campus culture.


OBJECTIVES

  1. Prevention and Awareness: Conduct regular workshops and seminars to educate students about the consequences of ragging and to promote a culture of respect and empathy.
  2. Monitoring and Reporting: Establish a robust mechanism for monitoring campus activities and provide a confidential reporting system for victims or witnesses of ragging.
  3. Support Services: Provide counseling and support services for victims of ragging to help them cope and recover from their experiences.
  4. Disciplinary Action: Implement strict disciplinary measures against individuals or groups found guilty of ragging, ensuring that policies are consistently enforced.
  5. Collaboration: Work with student organizations, faculty, and administration to create a united front against ragging and to promote positive student interactions.
  6. Regular Evaluation: Periodically assess the effectiveness of anti-ragging initiatives and policies to adapt and improve strategies for maintaining a safe campus environment.

The Redressal of the Grievance Committee is established to provide a platform for students, faculty, and staff to voice their concerns, complaints, and grievances. This committee aims to address issues promptly and effectively, ensuring that everyone within the institution feels heard, respected, and valued. By fostering an open and transparent environment, we promote a culture of trust and accountability.

The primary aim of the Grievance Redressal Committee is to resolve grievances in a fair, impartial, and timely manner, thereby enhancing the overall educational experience and institutional integrity.

 

VISION

To create a supportive and responsive environment where every individual feels empowered to express their concerns and where grievances are addressed transparently and constructively.

 

MISSION

Our mission is to establish effective mechanisms for grievance reporting and resolution, promote a culture of open communication, and ensure that all concerns are handled with dignity and respect. We strive to enhance institutional accountability and continuously improve the campus environment.

 

OBJECTIVES

  1. Accessibility: Ensure that all students, faculty, and staff have easy access to grievance reporting mechanisms, providing multiple channels for voicing concerns.
  2. Timely Resolution: Address grievances promptly and efficiently, with clear timelines for each stage of the redressal process.
  3. Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality and protect the identity of individuals who raise grievances, ensuring a safe space for open dialogue.

SC- ST CELL




INTRODUCTION

The Cell is launched with a vision of empowering the SC/ST students to face the challenges and lead a dignified life. The primary objective of the cell is to enable the learners to be employable and be confident by enhancing their skills and capabilities. Logo: The star represents the cell with the guidance of which the students are steered to become empowered women and to use the opportunities to the optimum. The three women symbolize the students who will become empowered and empower their fellow beings after receiving the guidance from the faculty members and the Government officials.

Health care is the maintenance or improvement of health via the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease, illness injury and other physical and mental impairments in human beings.

To be promotion and prevention oriented, community based, population and policy focused, and concerned with human rights and social justice.

To be a centre of excellence globally for Education, Training and Research in the field of Public Health.

The Internal Complaints Committee is established to provide a safe and supportive environment for addressing grievances within the organization. It serves as a platform for employees to voice their concerns and seeks to ensure fair and timely resolution of complaints related to harassment, discrimination, and other workplace issues.

 

AIM

The primary aim of the ICC is to foster a workplace culture of respect, equality, and transparency, where all employees feel empowered to express their concerns without fear of retaliation.

 

VISION

To create an inclusive and harmonious workplace where every employee is treated with dignity, and grievances are addressed effectively, contributing to overall organizational well-being.

 

MISSION

The ICC is committed to:

CAMPUS ANIMATION TEAM


INTRODUCTION

The Campus Animation Team strengthens the spirituality of staff and students. It helps the students to move from character to consciousness and to search for the ultimate meaning in life. The team organizes special prayer meetings, religious celebrations and gives regular retreats, seminars, renewal programmes, inspirational talks and para liturgical services to both the staff and students. Every year the Mother Foundress Day is celebrated in a meaningful way. Holy mass is organized at the beginning and end of the academic year besides Ash Wednesday for the catholic staff and students.

Value Education books for UG and PG students are also prepared by the Campus Animation Team.
