PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION

INTRODUCTION

A harmonious  relationship between the teachers and the parents of the students is vital to the holistic development of the students and the college.  With this in view, the Parent - Teacher Association (PTA) was started at Holy Cross College (Autonomous) Nagercoil in 1994. All the parents and the teachers are the members of the Association. The executive Committee consists of the principal as the patron and two parents as elected members (one as President and the other as Vice President), a Treasurer and the executive members, comprising staff and parents. The election of the office bearers is conducted once in every three years.

To foster a collaborative community where parents, teachers, and students work together to enhance the educational experience and promote the well-being of every child.

MISSION

ü  Engage Families: Encourage active participation of parents and guardians in the educational process.

ü  Support Teachers: Provide resources and support for teachers to enhance teaching and learning.

ü  Advocate for Students: Represent and advocate for the needs and interests of all students within the school community.

ü  Promote Communication: Facilitate open communication and collaboration between parents, teachers, and school administration.

ü  Enhance Education: Organize events and initiatives that enrich the educational experience, fostering a love for learning.

OBJECTIVES

ü  To promote a good relationship among the College management, staff, students and parents.

ü  To create in its members a keen interest for the smooth functioning and the progress of the college, and for maintaining good discipline and high academic standards.

ü  To encourage the involvement of parents in the activities of the institution.

ü  To assist the overall development of the institution by extending financial and other support.
