INTRODUCTION
The Department of
Costume Design and Fashion was commenced in the year 2023. The vision of the
department is “Empowering creative and innovative thinkers”, the Department of
Costume Design and Fashion envisions a future where our graduates excel as
leaders in the global fashion and costume design industries, driving artistic
expression, technical innovation, and cultural relevance. We strive to foster a
community that values experimentation, inclusivity, and sustainability,
preparing our students to craft compelling narratives through clothing and
textiles that inspire, educate, and delight."

The vision of our
department is to enlighten and educate the youth with the current fashion and
transform them to become trend setters in fashion designing in order to respond
creatively to global markets towards sustainable development

OBJECTIVES
After
the completion of the Costume Design and Fashion Course, our students will be
able to

costume design and fashion, combining theoretical foundations with practical
skills.

thinking in students, enabling them to develop unique and effective design
solutions.
ü To equip students with technical skills like pattern
making, garment construction, textiles, and costume production.

Conducting extension activities for the students, it can provide a link between the students and the community.
Conducting Street plays on recent social issues in rural villages.
